| As a major agricultural province, Shandong output of agriculture has beenleading in china. But for a long time, affected by factors such as lack of agriculturalinvestment and backward technology, agriculture in Shandong is not advanced,outstanding performance for low level of agricultural industrialization andunreasonable internal structure. The Foreign Direct Investment(FDI),serving as theprimary international capital flows,can not only provide a great deal of money, alsobrought advanced technology and management experience, helping host countryoptimize the agricultural industrialization, and promote the expansion of trade. Theagriculture in Shandong is the first open field, in which the FDI have steady improvedand made remarkable achievements since the beginning of the opening up policy. Butcompared to other industries, the scale of utilizing FDI is relatively small, structure isnot reasonable, and the source concentrate on neighboring countries. These issuesblock the FDI beneficial effects on agriculture industrial structure upgrading.According to relevant data, this paper analyzed the present situation of utilizingFDI in Shandong, and tested the internal relationships among FDI and the industrialstructure of agriculture, using unite root test, granger causality test and VAR model onthe basis of1993to2011time series. Research shows that FDI is beneficial to theincrease of agricultural capital, and play a certain positive role in the optimization ofagricultural internal structure. However, the technological spillover effect of FDI isnot obvious, and FDI don’t effective boost increase of agricultural exports. Finally,this paper, combined with the empirical results, put forward policy Suggestions.Shandong should pay attention to the introduction of high quality FDI with largepotential and space, at the same time, should be effective to guide the choice of regionand industry, to further promote the Shandong agricultural industry upgrading. |
