Analysis On The Impact Of Foreign Direct Investment On Agricultural Modernization In Shandong Province

With the rapid development of the global economy,China's agricultural economic situation is gradually improving.As a major economic province,Shandong has made remarkable achievements in agricultural development.But at the same time,it has also exposed the problems of single agricultural production mode,poor agricultural output benefits and low quality of agricultural workers.As the foundation of national economy,agriculture occupies an important strategic position in economic development.However,for a long time,agriculture has lagged behind the secondary and tertiary industries and its development has slowed down.The root cause of this problem lies in the serious shortage of agricultural investment.In order to fundamentally improve this situation,it is not only necessary to continuously strengthen Shandong province's financial investment in agriculture,but also important to actively attract foreign investment to participate in agriculture and inject new vitality into agricultural development.Since China's reform and opening up,it has attracted many foreign investors to invest directly in China.Shandong,as an eastern coastal region,enjoys a leading position in economic development in China,but there is obviously a gap in agricultural development.How to speed up the development of agriculture and adapt to the development requirements of Shandong's overall economy is the key to realize agricultural modernization.The development of agricultural modernization cannot be separated from the input of agricultural funds.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the impact of foreign direct investment on agricultural modernization in Shandong Province and put forward suggestions to promote the rapid development of Shandong agricultural modernization.First of all,this thesis gives the concepts of agricultural modernization and foreign direct investment,and then summarizes the theories of agricultural modernization,foreign direct investment and the theory of realizing agricultural modernization by foreign direct investment,which has laid a solid theoretical foundation for the in-depth study of this thesis.Then,taking Shandong Province as an example,this thesis analyzes the impact of foreign direct investment on agricultural modernization.This thesis carries out research from the following aspects:(1)It expounds the manifestation of agricultural modernization,and qualitatively analyzes the characteristics and existing problems of the development of agricultural utilization of foreign direct investment in Shandong Province;(2)It establishes an index system for agricultural modernization in Shandong Province,and qualitatively analyzes the impact of actual use of foreign direct investment on agricultural production mode,output benefit and quality of workers respectively.Agricultural production mode is reflected through agricultural mechanization level,degree of irrigation and water conservancy and amount of fertilizer applied per unit area,agricultural output benefit is illustrated through labor productivity,grain output per unit cultivated area and per capita income of farmers,and quality of agricultural workers is presented through agricultural scientific research ratio and education level of farmers.(3)The Entropy Weight method is applied to measure the degree of agricultural modernization in Shandong Province from 2000 to 2018,and based on the measurement results,the impact of the actual use of foreign direct investment in agriculture on agricultural modernization in Shandong Province is quantitatively analyzed.Quantitative analysis results show that foreign direct investment has a significant positive impact on agricultural modernization in Shandong Province.At the same time,financial expenditure on agriculture and investment in agricultural fixed assets have also promoted the development of agricultural modernization.After that,according to the qualitative and quantitative analysis results of the impact of foreign direct investment in agriculture in Shandong province,the policy suggestions to further promote the development of agricultural modernization in Shandong province are given.First,choose an appropriate mode of agricultural production;second,steadily improve the efficiency of agricultural output;third,gradually improve the quality of agricultural workers;fourth,increase agricultural investment through various channels.Finally,the conclusion of this thesis is that foreign direct investment has a significant positive effect on agricultural modernization in Shandong province.
