In the early time of1950s,156key construction programs broke ground in Lanzhou including the refinery, the chemical fertilizer plant and the rubber plant during the first Five Year Plan. By pushing aside all obstacles and difficulties, the three plants were built quick and put into practice in1958. Since then, Lahzhou Refinery and Lanzhou Chemical Company, which were the predecessors of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, kicking off the industry of refinery and petrochemical development.With the requirement of science and innovation, the Research Institute of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company was built in2005, which focus on scientific research and technical support to the company. In the new era, the market has a high expectation on the quality of productions and research capacity of the company. The Research Institute is required to fully aware of its advantages and disadvantages in order to avoid the thread and make use of the opportunity.
