As pillar industry for country and social life,the development and competitiveness sustainability of petrochemical industry plays an important role.In regards to industrial development trend and well plan out the development of petrochemical enterprise is big theme for sustainable development.Presently,domestic petrochemical enterprise competitiveness analysis is based on general indicators for comparison;these indicators are constrained by scale of enterprise,technical path,and regional factors,which is not able to subjectively represent the competitiveness of enterprise.Meanwhile,the development planning of petrochemical enterprise are normally based on single unit economic analysis,which is not able to fully integrate with existing units configuration,and effectively conduct overall competitiveness assessment confronting with great constraint.The study of this work covers the following:(1)Conduct competitiveness analysis on the studied company.Solomon benchmark system is introduced as widely used benchmark approach internationally,the studied petrochemical enterprise is analyzed and assessment subjectively by leveraging Solomon benchmark system and gaps for competitiveness improvement are also analyzed based on latest benchmark result.(2)Conduct target market analysis and study.Based on feedstock and products of studied enterprise,targeting markets are analyzed with key focus on crude,olefin,aromatic.As identified,the major market opportunity will be in chemical market.Presently,the studied enterprise is constrained by finished oil product,causing low refining utilization and low feedstock supply capability from refining to chemical,which results in high feedstock cost.Under current situation,the overall competitiveness of the studied enterprise is weakened.(3)Development case planning and study.In regards to the existing bottleneck of studied enterprise and future market environment,existing units' configuration,the development cases are proposed.PIMS are leveraged to calculate the planned case and facilitate preliminary analysis on planned cases.(4)Planned case assessment.Solomon benchmark tools are leveraged to evaluate the planned case and assess competitiveness,by which,two rational plans have been identified.This work has provided solution to integrate benchmark and PIMS for long-term planning,which is meaningful for petrochemical enterprise.
