Securities industry has made remarkable achievements in the process of development for more than20years in China. Brokerage, the level of profitability of which is susceptible to the impact of stock market prices, as the main source of income of the domestic securities companies, in turn, limits the growth of their profit. In order to obtain a better development, many securities companies try to re-adjust the company’s strategy. The issues that domestic securities companies focus on are how to evaluate the operating results scientifically and legitimately in the ups and downs of the market environment and how to promote various businesses close around the company’s strategic objectives with the performance evaluation index.This paper aims at the sufficiency of performance evaluation and balanced scorecard, the Brokerage Department of ZS Securities Company(referred to ZS) as a template, analyzes the problems and original causes of the performance evaluation index system in it, and then propose a feasible solution based on the balanced scorecard principle. Based on the above statement, we are hoping to provide reference for counterparts, and jointly promote the healthy development of securities industry.
