Hexi Area In Gansu Region Self-development Capability Study

Under the western development policy support, the western society has achieved rapid economic development. Gap between eastern and western development is problems affecting China’s economic development, is mainly due to the western region of natural conditions and historical reasons, self-development capacity is weak, seriously restrict the further development of the economy. In the western development in the "twelfth five-year" plan, clearly put forward to further enhance the western region self-development capabilities. At present, the research on regional self-development ability of theory and practice are more, but are in the primary stage, mostly USES the qualitative analysis.Related theory based on ability, resources and economic relations theory, after five capital theory to study, to have a preliminary definition of self-development ability, and analyzes the capability of the constituent elements and generating conditions. On this basis, based on the five capital to the self-development ability of multi indexes analyzed, using hierarchical analysis and index effect function to improve model in Hexi areas, two city during the period of "11th five-year plan" of related data for empirical analysis.
