Implicit leadership theories(ILTs) are the hopes and expectations of leaders in people`smind, and the expectations and assumptions of leaders’ traits and abilities that a followerthink an ideal leader should have.It is also considered as "the internal lable" that is used todistinguish leaders and non-leaders.This paper was just written on the basis of the ILTs and took the human resourcespractitioners as subjects. Through data collection and pre-survey, we had established “TheIdeal Leaders`Trait Questionnaire(ILTQ)”. Taking420practitoners from17enterprises inShandong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province as subjects by stratifiedsamping,we investigated them formally with ILTQ, Bem Sex-role Inventory, EysenckPersonality Questionaire Short Scale for Chinese Version. Through exploratory factoranalysis, analysis of variance, regression analysis and other means, the results are obtainedas follows:1.ILTs among human resources practitioners are constructed by eight core factors, including morality, self-confidence, insight, tact, foresight, affinity, charm and creativity.2. Gender, sex-role have a significant main effect on ILTs.3. Gender, sex-role have predictive effects on ILTs. Especially sex-role is a significantpredictor.4.Personality traits have negative effects on morality, self-confidence, insight, tact andforesight, proving the self-reference of implicit leadership theory.Based on these findings, we put forward reasonable proposals on recruitment, configuration and training of Human Resources Department.
