With the accelerating process of global economic integration, the development of organization and innovation paradigm networking is becoming an important way for enterprises to enhance their innovation performance. In the development process of organization networking, the company acquire its critical resources for innovative growth through the social network, in which founder plays a vital role, the personality traits of the founder potentially influences personal behavior activities, some unique personality traits is conducive to the corporate’s social network, thus improving the enterprise’s innovation performance. Therefore, the relationship research of founder personality traits and social networks on innovation performance is becoming the attention focus for the scholars. Basis on a large number of theoretical literature, combining the theory of personality traits, social networks and innovation performance, using the method of multiple regression analysis, empirical study the relationship among founder personality traits, social networks and innovation performance, and analysis the intermediary role of social network between the two variables.The results show that:(1) in the founder’s personality traits dimension, self-efficacy, achievement motivation, risk orientation and proactive have a significantly positive influence on innovation performance;(2) the self-efficacy, achievement motivation, risk orientation and proactive have a significantly positive influence on social networks through different dimensions;(3) in the social network dimension, the network heterogeneity, network size and the relationship strength have a significantly positive influence on innovation performance;(4) the social network have a partial intermediary role between the founder’s personality traits (the self-efficacy, achievement motivation, risk orientation, proactive) and innovation performance.Above conclusions deepen the understanding for the three relationship of the founder personality traits, social networks and innovation performance, reveals the impact mechanism of the founder’s personality traits, social networks and innovation performance, provides an important theoretical reference for shaping founder’s personality traits in the development model of enterprise networking, therefore, this study has important theoretical and practical significance.
