The Empirical Study Of The Relationship Of Ecological Urbanization And Economic Growth

At present, domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of research-es on therelationship between urbanization and economic growth and found they promote eachother, namely the economic growth could promote the development of urbanization, inreturn, urbanization also has positive effect on the economy. However, in considerationof human development in the future, The scholars agreed that the development is notonly an economic concept, it’s also should include economic, social, environmentalaspects, it is a comprehensive optimization of the human quality of life, the natural andhuman environment. Development should not the pursuit of immediate interests only,instead we should also pay more attention to sustainable development. In the newdevelopment point of views, urbanization is not only the population accumulation, butto protect environment, maintain ecological balance and social harmony，that is theecological urban construction. Therefore the ecological town as the future trend ofurban development, the relationship between economic growth and it is worthy of study.Jiangxi Province is richly endowed by nature with the ecological environment. Therapid economic development in recent years, but the overall level is backward in mostparts of country. Therefore it has the vital significance to explore the relationshipbetween ecological urbanization and economic growth, promote the development ofecological urbanization level in Jiangxi province, promote economic development,coordinate and promote the development of two.Firstly, the author uses the factor analysis method to calculate the comprehensivescore of the level of ecological towns in Jiangxi province, based on this. The author hadthe econometric analysis with GDP and per capital ecological urbanization factor scoreresults in1991–2011in Jiangxi province. The author establishes VEC model, usingco-integration analysis, impulse response function and Variance decomposition analysis,to research the long-term equilibrium and short-term dynamic relationship betweenecological urbanization and economic growth, and using gray correlation analysismethod to calculate the coordination degree between ecological towns’ level andeconomic growth in Jiangxi.The empirical results show that there is a long-term equilibrium relationshipbetween the level of ecological and economic growth in Jiangxi Province, the economicgrowth has effect on ecological urbanization,and vice versa, and they has highercoordinated degrees, complement each other and mutual promotion.
