As the most important and one of the fastest growing technologies in recent yearsin three-dimensional data visualization field, volume rendering can clear performancethe internal organizational structure, and perspective the whole data distribution andvariation intuitively. Thus it has been widely used in many areas such as the medical,computational fluid dynamics, weather forecasting, seismic and Geological Survey.Existing volume rendering research focuses on the effectiveness and efficiency ofsingle data drawn, and made a lot of research achievements. In the actual productionapplications, it requires multiple data fusion volume rendering in many occasions. Forexample, in the medical field through changes in CT or MRT data in different time toresearch lesions and in Geophysical field multiple attribute data fusion highlight thetarget abnormal body. This thesis research fusion draw and multidimensional transferfunction design relevant to seismic attribute data fusion volume rendering inGeophysical field.For multi-data fusion volume rendering, this thesis realized three methods ofseismic attribute fusion volume rendering: RGB mapping-based fusion volumerendering, the fusion volume rendering based on the attributes weight and Intervalsampling-based fusion volume rendering. In fusion rendering method based on the RGBmapping, each value of the attribute is mapped to the three color components of R, G, B,to achieve a multi-attribute data fusion drawn by the GPU. the fusion volume renderingbased on the attributes weight control various properties in the fusion process byweights, you can highlight the important part by giving big weights to make good visualeffect. Interval sampling fusion volume rendering method is on image synthesisalgorithm in texture mapping to achieve the integration of multiple seismic attributes involume rendering. This thesis describes the basic principle and implementation processof the three fusion method and analyzes the simulation results. By immolation andactual data test, we can see that these methods realized multiple seismic attribute datafusion volume rendering basically.For multidimensional transfer function design issues, this thesis presents a transfer multi-dimensional function design method based on parallel coordinate. The transferfunction mapping the attribute data to the RGBA optical properties, its set of good orbad had a direct impact on the draw results, so Volume Rendering is a key issue in thestudy. In the case of multi-dimensional seismic data volume rendering we using parallelcoordinates intuitive express multidimensional data, and interactive design based onmulti-dimensional transfer function. Through simulation, an effective solution to themulti-dimensional transfer function of the interaction design has been made.The results of this research has been development and testing in VS2008andOpenGL library platform, and successfully applied to seismic data visualizationsoftware system. Through application multiple testing in actual work area, this methodbasically seismic attribute data fusion draw.
