An investigation of the diversity of marine-derived fungi from sediments of Bohai Seais carried out during June24th-28th,2011. Total16samples of sediments are collected, from which300fungal isolates belonging to67species (in36genera) are obtained. DuringOctober27th-28th,2011,11samples of sesweeds are collected from intertidal zone ofQingdao, from which97fungal isolates belonging60species (in35genera) are obtained. In total,397fungal isolates belonging to117species (in55genera) are identified.Among them,1genus (Mucor) belonged to Zygomycota;5genera (Ceriporia, Coprinellus,Coprinopsis, Pseudozyma, Sporisorium) belonged to Basidiomycota;21genera(Aphanoascus, Arachnomyces, Ascotricha, Candida, Chaetomium, Emericellopsis,Eupenicillium, Eurotium, Eutypella, Lophiostoma, Microascus, Myxotrichum, Nectria,Preussia, Pseudeurotium, Pseudonectria, Talaromyces, Testudomyces, Thielavia,Westerdykella, Wickerhamomyces) belonged to Ascomycota;28genera (Acremonium,Acrostalagmus, Alternaria, Amphichorda, Arthrinium, Aspergillus, Chrysosporium,Cladosporium, Clonostachys, Curvularia, Devriesia, Engyodontium, Epicoccum,Exserohilum, Fusariella, Fusarium, Geomyces, Penicillium, Penidiella, Periconia,Phialemonium, Purpureocillium, Scedosporium, Scopulariopsis, Stachybotrys, Teberdinia,Trichoderma, Ulocladium) belonged to Anamorphic Fungi.13strains can only identified atorder level (Eurotiales, Onygenales, Pleosporales, Sordarides).New recorded genera for China: Aphanoascus, Teberdinia.New recorded species for China: Acremonium alcalophilum, Aphanoascus fulvescens,Cladosporium perangustum, Cladosporium ramotenellum, Cladosporium sinuosum,Emericellopsis minima, Penicillium rubens, Penicillium sumatrense, Penicillium viticola,Preussia flanaganii, Scopulariopsis murina, Scopulariopsis sphaerospora, Teberdiniahygrophila怂New recorded species for Mainland China: Talaromyces assiutensis. All genera and species are fully described and illustrated morphologically. Distribution sites, habitat are also cited. Living cultures of all fungi studied have beendeposited in the Herbarium of Ocean University of China Marine Biology (OUCMB).Shannon-Wiener index, species richness, evenness, relative abundance and nichebreadth were used to study the diversity of genus species of marine-derived fungi fromseaweeds in intertidal zone of Qingdao and sediments of Bohai Sea.The diversity ofendophytic fungi appears not relevant to the seaweeds taxonomic categories. The diversityindex of endophytic fungi is higher in large algae and lower in delicate, cartilaginous, leathery or calcareous algae. The results of the investigation of marine-derived fungi fromsediments of Bohai Sea indicate that as deeper in water and closer to estuary where thesample was collected, the higher the fungal diversity index is.
