At present, reservoir description has evolved from structure characterization, predictionof reservoir properties to building3-D model, including structure, reservoir and geology; fromthe single disciplinary studies to multi-discipline integration; from qualitative description tohalf-quantitative and quantitative prediction; from qualitative evaluation to3-D reservoirproperties model-building. In order to build a detailed and quantitative3-D geological model,the key issue is to integrate the data with different resolution and scale, such as the geologicaldata, logs, seismic etc. Such that the reservoir framework, reservoir property and its internalfluid features can be accurately described spatially.The Seismic-driven geological modeling method is a newly-proposed method, whichintegrates well and seismic data, makes full use of seismic information, computes weightedcoefficient based on the spatial correlation of seismic data, and avoids estimating variogram,in this way, reduces the uncertainty of the reservoir property estimation when the well spaceis large. At present the theoretical research on this method has made certain progress, but hasnot fully integrated geological information, depositional model and other priori information.Therefore, based on previous studies, this work tries to consider the constraints ofsedimentary model in modeling process, such that the geological model can be moreconsistent with geology.This work has discussed how to build stratigraphic framework constrained bysedimentary model, mainly with the method to build isochronal stratigraphic frameworkguided by seismic data, which is tracking to the small subdivision layer guided by dip fromseismic data. The stratigraphic framework built by this new method is consistent with seismicevent, therefore it is more isochronal and can reflect actual geological sedimentary morecorrectly. Then the method to build reservoir property model constrained by sedimentary model is studied, including building property model at different chronostratigraphic unitconstrained by isochronal stratigraphic framework and at different microfacies contrained bysedimentary facies. The theoretical model test and actual application verified its correctnessand effectiveness of the methods. Finally, this work has integrated all methods into softwaremodules, for facilitating the practical application of the methods.
