3D terrestrial laser scanning is a new high-tech technology developed in recent years inthe field of measuring. And because of the characteristics of initiative, fast, high-precision,non-contact, digital, automation, it has a wide range of applications.The key is to3D terrestrial laser scanning technology applications in various fields is toget the surface point cloud data, and then be processed according to the method of point clouddata to get the final results. Point cloud data quality is an important element of the mappingand other industry research. It is the basis of measurement results validity and accuracy of thefinal results of the most important premise and guarantee. The main content of this paper is3D terrestrial laser scanning technology application and research progress at home and abroad,principle and error analysis of terrestrial3D laser technology, the strength of the reflectionpoint cloud data quality and point cloud data information.Discussed from three aspects of the terrestrial3D laser scanner error,the instrument, theexternal environment and the reflect of surfaces, instruments ranging part, goniometric partand meteorological conditions on the scanner; Through the experiment discuss the results ofthe scan on scanning distance, the color of the scan target, and the target edge;Calculate theterrestrial3D laser scanner theoretical maximum position error in the50m according to theprinciple of3D terrestrial laser scanner and the Leica ScanStation2instrument parameters,and get the accuracy in practical applications of the scanner through the comparativeexperiment of3D terrestrial laser scanner and total station; Analysis of the data formatobtained from Leica ScanStation2terrestrial3D laser scanner, separation of the reflectionintensity of the target information, the target reflection intensity data is used to point cloudsegmentation, de-noising and extracting the center of the target bit according to the FuzzyC-means clustering method.
