In the warfare context of the remote quick and accurate hit, the hypersonic vehicleis of great concern, and is one of the crucial development aspects in the realm ofaerospace technology of the21stcentury. The hypersonic glide-cruise two-stagewaverider is a new type of hypersonic vehicle for the new ballistic flight of glide-cruise.Its design ideas, the basic principle and the aerodynamic layout design are all veryinnovative.Firstly, this paper studied the rapid prediction method for the hypersonicaerodynamic characteristics, the stability and controllability characteristics of thehypersonic waverider, and summed up the design methods and aerodynamiccharacteristics of the cone and osculating cone derived waveriders. The comparativeanalysis of the differences in the two methods of the cone-derived waverider,respectively, based on a simplified method and inviscid streamline tracking method wascarried out.Secondly, on this basic, the basic aspects and design ideas of the hypersonicglide-cruise two-stage waverider were presented. That is, in the gliding phase, thevehicle rides wave through the fairing; in the cruising phase, after throwing away thefairing, the vehicle rides wave through the forebody. In fact, it is a kind of method bychanging the waverider surface to rider wave under two different Mach number. In thebasic of the parameterized design, this paper established the basic design theory of thetwo stages cone-derived waverider, succeeded in achieving this design idea, and wrote aset of shape generation program.Lastly, this paper introduced one hypersonic aerodynamic layout that has sixcontrol surfaces, and uses the flap control surfaces to achieve the trimmed flight of thevehicle under multiple Mach number.The calculation results show that the established design method and the developedvehicle of the hypersonic glide-cruise two-stage waverider can meet the overall designindicators of the glide-cruise flight, and can be applied to develop this type hypersonicvehicle.
