With the ongoing construction of Digital Earth, Digital City and Digital Community, amassive three-dimensional model visualization technology has become an important direction ofthe current development. It is a problem How to smoothly display a variety of three-dimensionalmodels. In this paper, the object of study is city three-dimensional architectural model and thepurpose is visualization of a massive three-dimensional architectural models. In order tostructure worldwide three-dimensional visualization system based on network, we study theprocessing, management, scheduling of the three-dimensional model.Firstly, analyze the content of city three-dimensional model data and declare the object ofstudy. According to analyze the structure of3D architectural models and the future needs of thesystem functions, define a new three-dimensional model data structure. Use LOD(level of detail)technology in the system. Simplify the geometry data that is processed in the method ofhalf-edge collapse and texture data that is processed by wavelet algorithm,both of those reducedata storage space and pressure of network pressure.Secondly, meshing of the Earth’s surface, the global three-dimensional building datamanagement is into a3D building data management within a single grid. Organize and manage asingle grid three-dimensional architectural with database and design of the database table. Inconsideration of the management of temporal data, achieve the basic functions of the databaseand increase the historical data archiving functions.Thirdly, using of the currently widely used the WCF technologies and REST architecture,develop the3D web publishing software in this study and give the implementation process andsome of the key code.Lastly, on the basis of the above, design scheduling strategy of3D building data. Build theindex of models using grid and KD-Tree, achieve a three-dimensional model of parallelprocessing by Multi-threading technology, use caching techniques to reduce the interaction ofthe system with database, research and develop the massive3D building visualization systemand evaluate the system performance. Evaluation results show that the correct and feasibletechnical solution.
