Recently, much attention has been paid to atmospheric pressure plasma jet(APPJ)for its convenient employing without a vacuum and the high efficiency on applications with low temperature treatments, especially on the heat sensitive materials and biological tissues, such as plastics, rubbers, foods, fiber, and skin.A special designed brush-shape plasma device is reported to generate large area and uniform cold plasma at atmospheric pressure for biomedical application. The flexible device is consisting of well aligned and microns-thick hollow quartz fibers. This homogeneous brush-shape plasma can provide an effective mode of killing the resistant microorganism in a large scale for biomedical applications. |
