Social impact assessment has gradually been introduced to the investmentproject evaluation.and has become an important part of the project Evaluation.because of itspublic service, nonprofit, public service, social impact assessment is the main evaluation of theGeological disaster monitoring and early warning project.The theories and methods of the Social impact assessment of the project are not mature.Thepaper try to seek to the Social impact assessment theories and to analysis the social impact ofgeological disaster rmonitoring and early warning of Xinping.This paper analyzes thecharacteristics of geological disaster monitoring and early warning projects, summed up thedefinition,connotation, characteristics, evaluation of the content of of such projects,combined with the results of other research projects. The social impact assessment is to learn theimpact on reducing casualties and ensure the safety of people’s lives as well as aspects of localproduction, On this basis establish a geological Social Evaluation of the impact of disastersmonitoring and early warning project from the social impact of the project on the environment,the impact on social and economic projects and social interaction analysis of three aspects offitness combining on research data from water conservancy, transportation projects and otherrelated projects.every aspect also includes a number of secondary indicators. combined withthe actual situation in Xinping County Yunnan Province, based on the index system usequantitative analysis and qualitative analysis and evaluation methods to evaluate the socialeffects of geological disaster monitoring and early warning of Yunnan Xinping projects.Theanalysis found that social effects of Xinping geological disaster monitoring early warningprojects are significant. the construction of the project has obvious significance. This studyhopes to provide some analysis of ideas for evaluating of similar project for the future.
