Finishing mill as the core part of the hot tandem rolling, its level of equipment andcontrol determined the quality of products. Rolling line is consisted of numbers standsand monitor AGC intertwined with gauge meter AGC. So it is difficult to run into thebest condition through simple adjust. With heavy production task and large equipment itis not suitable for online adjustment. There are advantages with the simulationtechnology such as security, economic, controllable, non-destructs and so on. Therefore,the study on the simulation of strip hot rolling mill platform has an important theoreticalsignificance and practical value.Our school rolling simulation groups take simulation with the Matlab platform. Thegraphical simulation system created by Simulink could calculate the transfer function ofthe motor, hydraulic cylinder, the thickness of the closed-loop control and realizedynamic simulation of hot rolling system. As the hot-rolling process is very complex, itcould not describe the actual process fully. The algorithm of rolling model uses a singleprocess, the prediction of rolling temperature drop and rolling force is not very accurate,sometimes the simulation process is divergence that cause simulation results are notparticularly desirable, the actual promotion of the simulation software is affected.The reduction schedule model and the speed setting model are created according torolling theory, then the calculation of pre-set parameters become accurately and quickly.The bite model of the first stand is built to stop the simulation when the bite conditioncould not be met. The model of double sides load is set that laid foundation to analysisthe horizontal performance of the rolling pieces. The dynamic response and stabilityindicators of the hydraulic system are improved though adjusting the PID parameters.The tension since corrective model and camber control model are established through theanalysis of the deviation mechanism, and the purpose of the camber control is achieved.By comparing the measured values with the simulation results prove that the modelcan well reflect the actual working conditions.
