As coal production power, our country coal production accounts for about a thirdof the world’s total output, but mine disaster causes casualties is account for80%of theworld total casualties every year, which is the highest level in the world. The frequentmine disaster accidents has attracted the attention of countries all over the world. Atpresent, countries are committed to the development of underground refuge cabinsystem. However,how to test becomes a key problem after the design of the refugecabin system is completed. Therefore, to assess the effectiveness of environmentalcontrol and life support system in cabin, this paper presented the development of testingsystem for the refuge cabin based on the analysis and simulation of cabin environment,the system can replace real person into the cabin to experiment and simulate the processof metabolism of1-36people, real-time monitoring the change of the cabinenvironment of cabin oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gas concentration andtemperature, humidity, etc. it can provide testing and standards for the inspection of therefuge cabin system.In this paper, the working principle of the testing system simulation humanmetabolism, the design of simulation subsystem and the design of the PC software wereall described in detail. In the aspect of theory, by establishing the exchange gas modelof human body in the cabin, simulate cabin each gas concentration and pressure changeprocess, According to the principle of human respiratory metabolism, this paperproposed some feasible solutions for simulate human metabolic, and were comparedand analyzed. Finally it adapted the method of replacement gas taken. For the design ofsystem hardware, it chose Siemens mid-range type S7-300PLC as system host, anddesigned temperature and humidity subsystem which is simulate body thermal radiationand production wet function, designed artificial breathing machine which is simulatehuman body metabolism completely, in addition the work principle of breathingmachine and the design of mechanical structure were described in detail. In the aspectof system software, control system program and configure on STEP7softwareenvironment, it chose Kingview software as PC software to program and interfacedesign, it can achieve the function of cabin environmental parameters in display, alarm,data storage and the report showed, etc.This test system has passed through actual operation test, it can satisfy the designrequirements, simulate body metabolism, real-time monitoring the cabin environmentchange, which realizes the function of refuge cabin system testing and evaluation.
