Reduce the energy consumption in the cutting process to achieve a low carbonemissions is an effective way of cutting industry in the current environment oflow-carbon economy. The selection of cutting parameters (the amount) has asignificant influence on machining, and almost all the parameters are focus onimproving the efficiency and reducing the cost in the present circumstances. Thispaper puts low-carbon economy as a breakthrough point with energy consumptiontarget for cutting optimization. All these are designed to search a optimization formilling processing parameters base on requirements.Owing to the cutting process is always accompanied by the flow of energy.This paper expounds and proves the thesis that multiple ways communicate witheach other in cutting energy consumptions from two parts: cutting primissionintegrate and energy flow in cutting process. The paper builds a equation on theenergy consumptions of machine lord movement system when no-load running,which is based on analytical investigation towards energy consumption.Milling for example, This study establish two equations separately in roughand finish machining. The optimal objective functions are maximum productivit yand minimum energy consumption unit volume in rough machining, the surfacecoarse made degrees and minimum energy consumption unit volume in finishmachining.In the process of cutting parameters optimization research with GA(GeneticAlgorithm),this paper chooses Genetic parameters in the optimization processreasonably at the instance of GA, and it introduces the usage of GA Toolbox briefly.On the basis of analyzing optimization model, the thesis establishes Cuttinginformation database which is needed in the optimization system development withSQL Server2008, and develops the cutting parameter optimization system In theMilling process with Visual Basic6.0.The research completes all cutting processing experiments and analyzes theresults the optimization needs. In experiments in no-load power measurements, itconfirms no-load power coefficients of the experiment machines through theanalysis of the different speed machine tool under power, and verify thecorrectness of the no-load power theory. It obtains correction factor of actualcutting force through cutting force measurement experiment. The two experimentsprovide parameters needed in optimization system development and finallycomplete verification tests in optimizations of cutting parameters before and after.All experimental results show that: the use of cutting optimization parameters satisfy the requirements of cutting, that reaches the requirements of reducingenergy consumption and improve production efficiency.
