Conceptual Design Of Special CNC Drilling Machine And Multi-hole Path Planning With Simulation

It is well-known that multi-hole machining occupies a large proportion in the fieldof CNC machining. As the process design of multi-hole is closely related to themachining efficiency, it is worth researching for choosing the reasonable machiningpath and design proposal to improve machining efficiency.This paper, based on the requirement of project stakeholders, designs a mechanicalstructure and electrical control scheme, plans the path and process of multi-hole drillingmachine including optimizing cutting parameters according to the analysis of structuralfeatures and machining process for the pre-researching special CNC drilling machine.In order to improve the machining efficiency and reduce cost, this paperdemonstrates a mechanical structure scheme for the special CNC drilling machine anddecides the machine movement scheme by the method of comparing proposal.Additionally, the key parts of the mechanical structure scheme is selected and designed,and a special CNC drilling machine3D models is established in SIEMENS NX6.0. Anelectrical control scheme using SINUMERIK840D control system is presented for themechanical structure scheme and machining requirement.This paper divides the machining area of multi-hole and plans its machining pathby selecting orthogonal path method in the view of distribution features of multi-hole.Meanwhile, in the aim of improving machining efficiency, the machining process is tobe planed, the synchronization problem of multi-spindle is solved. The single-objectivenonlinear is established and the cutting parameters are optimized.This paper writes the SIEMENS840D NC code according to the planed machiningpath and process flows, conducts the machining simulation by Vericut7.0which is themost professional NC machining simulation software. The NC codes are validated inthis paper.
