Ladle car is an important part of the continuous casting machine, at the same time itis also an indispensable transport equipment in refining outside the furnace, undertakeladle transporting and lifting work. In order to meet the safe and rapid product process, thedesign requirements of the ladle car is becoming more and more rigid. The staticcharacteristic of the ladle car frame structure directly affect the machine workingperformance of the ladle car. The frame structure designed according to traditionalexperience and analogy method is complex, cumbersome, local structure materialsredundancy and inefficiency, increases the cost of manufacturing, and reduces the productcompetitiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct frame structure optimization design.Aim at the complicated mechanical structure of ladle car frame, this thesis usestopological and multi-objective optimization(MOO) techniques for its redesign andoptimizing according to the product concurrent design idea. The optimized configurationof the ladle car frame is got. This paper contains three main parts as follows:(1) The bearing type, the overall layout and the main mechanisms of the ladle car hasbeen designed according to the functional requirements and performance parameters of therequirements, the bearing type, the working principle of each mechanism has beenanalyzed, which laid a foundation for further analysis and optimization work.(2) Established Ladle car frame geometry model and finite element model, andthrough the static stiffness analysis, retained the static characteristic of the frame structureand the direction frame structure optimization.(3) Solid frame geometric model and finite element model was set up, respectivelyconducted topology optimization calculation of the original frame finite element modeland solid frame finite element model, got the lightweight conceptual model of frameoptimization design. Based on the conceptual model and the principle of workabledesigned the shape of "cross" girder web plate and end beam, established the shapeoptimization model based on topology optimization method.(4) Conducted detailed design for Shape optimization model of the ladle car frame based on the multi-objective optimization method. The parametric model of the ladle carframe is established in the ANSYS DesignXplorer environment. The total mass, staticdeformation was considered as optimization goals. The design parameters were chosen asdesign variables and rounded off based on sensitivity analysis results. Goal-drivenoptimization technique was used for multi-objective optimization solution. Finally thedetailed parameters of the ladle car frame could be determined.The simulation resultsgained by FEA show that the static characteristics of structure with structural optimizationare significantly improved and weight significantly reduced. Optimization effect is good.
