Hot stamping technology is a very promising technology,which enables high-strengthsteel widely used in the automotive sector to ensure vehicle safety while reducing bodyweight.The concept of local hot stamping is proposed because anti-collision and weldedassembly of the door crash beam requirements the high-intensity of the middle part and ofthe good-plastic at both ends. The strength of high strength steel depends on the extent ofmaterial from austenite to martensite transformation,and organizational change dependson the cooling rate of the forming part and uniformity of the cooling. The forming partmade fully martensitic must be cooled with a cooling rate more than27°C/s, then a sub-stantial increase in the strength of high strength steel.Firstly, SolidWorks3D graphics software is applied to design rationally the hotstamping mold structure and its cooling system. A preliminary exploration for the designcriteria of the hot stamping mold and its cooling system is performed,and to solve the keytechnical issues in parameters of the cooling system and the cooling pipe’s arrangementin the hot stamping mold.Secondly, a reasonable simplification of the mold being made to improve computa-tional efciency, numerical simulation of multi-process cycle on the packing quenchingstage is achieved with ANSYS CFX fluid analysis module. Research the temperature dis-tribution of the convex and concave mold and forming part in diferent holding pressure,packing time, water flow rate, process cycle timesand cooling water inlet temperature andanalyse influence law of temperature field of the forming part in various process parame-ters,to determine the key process parameters through analog quadrature test.Finally,sheet deformation mode in the hot stamping process is described.ABAQUSExplicit module is used to perform umerical simulation for diferent initial temperatureof the sheet in metal forming and quenching of a two-stage. Research the influence of thesheet initial teperature to the forming part temperature field, stress and strain fields.andobtain the lowest initial temperature of sheet and the correspondence between formingpart temperature field and stress and strain fields.In addition,the places where are easy tobreak in hot stamping forming is analyzed.
