In the fast process of urbanization, the newly built floor area is up to2billion m2annually, with the energy consumption in construction process approximatelyaccounting for20percent of that in all stages of life cycle. Reducing CO2emissions inthe phase of construction could remit CO2emissions in the building life cycle, and it isan important project. As to the reduction of CO2emissions from the equipmentinstallation phase of construction, public buildings are an important part of civilbuildings, given that the newly built floor area is large, the number of constructionprojects is large, and the construction equipments include a wide range of kinds. Itgenerates a considerable volume of CO2emissions during construction and the projectof installation. Although the energy consumption in construction process approximatelyaccounting for20percent, the energy consumption in the stage of operation accountedfor the largest share of the total life cycle. The study of operation phase had come andreached great achievements, while the study of construction is more complex, themethod of calculation about the stage of construction has not formed a conclusion. Soresearch on CO2emissions reduction in the phase of equipment installation has greatsignificance to control CO2emissions in the building life cycle.First of all, the article masters status of the CO2emissions in the phase ofequipment installation of public buildings in China. Based on it, paper summarizes thegreenhouse gas accounting method at home and abroad and the measurement methodsof CO2emissions in the field of building. Then, further analysis is conducted on thecurrent situation and the existing problems of the CO2emissions about the buildingequipment installation. By means of analyzing the characteristic, regularity andinfluence factors about the CO2emissions in the stage of equipment installation, thisresearch carries on the preliminary discussion on the mechanism of the CO2emissionsin the phase of equipment installation. Then, this paper combines analysis ofmanagement processes and construction characteristics of construction engineering inChina, and defines the scope of the accounting, determines the functional unit and raisesthe CO2emissions calculation model of the stage of equipment installation.To prove the practical feasibility of CO2emissions calculation model of theequipment installation in public building, feasibility study and uncertainty analysis onthe calculation model。The result shows, the calculation model has integrity in theory, while it is also feasible for the data access.Then, this paper applies the CO2emissions calculation model of the equipmentinstallation to construction of a hospital choose in Shenzhen city. With the practical use,the characteristics of CO2emissions and the level about the hospital in the phase ofequipment installation are achieved. At the same time, we find the rule and reason ofCO2emissions in the installation of machinery and equipment, through the analysis ofCO2emissions in the phase of equipment installation in the case.Finally, this paper analyzes the potential of CO2emissions reduction aboutinstallation engineering, laying the foundation for the low carbon technology system ofequipment installation in construction.
