The20th century is the epoch of human scientific and technologicaldevelopment by leaps and bounds, but we have also witnessed a century which israther serious damaged at the fields of human environment and resource. Today,green, low-carbon has become the topic of the times, the expense of the environmentin exchange for human development gradually for humanity will not be tolerated,protect the environment and sustainable development has attracted more attention.The ionic liquid is a green, environmentally friendly solvent, so, its researchand application has been widespreadly concerned of the world’s researchers. Ionicliquids polarity adjustable, green catalysis, can provide a non-aqueous environment,and many other advantages, these advantages, we study the physical and chemicalproperties of ionic liquids major premise and foundation..In this paper we use theacetic acid ionic liquid as the studying object, and use the thermodynamic propertiesout of its physicochemical properties, we completed the following work:The [C4mim][OAc](1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazole OAc ate) and [C5mim][OAc](1-pentyl-3-methyl-imidazole OAc ate), which are the two ionic liquids, have beensynthesized, and characterized on purity by1HNMR, TGA and differential thermalscanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively.[C4mim][OAc]and[C5mim][OAc] aqueous ionic liquid preparation areprocessed in a concentration range of0.0100-0.5000mol· kg-1, and at the sametemperature within the range (288.15K-328.15K),due to that the purity has a greatinfluence on its physical and chemical properties, the measured values of the density,surface tension have been gained, and we have found the relation between the[C4mim][OAc]、[C5mim][OAc] ionic liquids’ surface tension, density, temperatureand molar concentration. We use the empirical parachor formula to estimate thesurface tension of the aqueous solution of ionic liquid in every concentration, whichhave turned out to be good and reasonable.
