The Application Of Ethnic Costume Graphics In Jade Jewelry Design

This paper has reviewed the development of jade jewelry in Yunnan and current jewelry fashion, and researched on the costume graphics of ethnic minorities in Yunnan. Based on the research results of identified different graphic elements in the ethnic costumes in Yunnan, in combination of current jewelry fashion and custom of jewelry wearing, the author of this paper has designed198graphics of jade jewelry in a year. Meanwhile, this paper has also analyzed and classified the designed jewelries by the classification rules of ethnic costume graphics. The detailed analysis and classification on their styles, artistic law, methodology and principle of design have finally grouped8series of jade jewelry. This design has achieved24sets of effect graphics and2single finished products.In this design, theoretic analysis on the elements of jade jewelry design and craft and practical application were incorporated, to systematically present the early development of jade jewelry design, from draft to effect to schedule graphics. This design aims to improve the added value of jade jewelry by adding delicate designs in Yunnan. It would significantly contribute to the flourishing development of privately-made jewelries in Yunnan.
