Abstract/Summary:
This thesis consists of two parts:(1) Copper-catalyzed reactions between2-(2-bromophenyl)-dihydroquinazolinone derivatives and amidines;(2) Copper-catalyzed debromination reaction of2-(2-bromophenyl)-dihydroquinazolinone derivatives.The first part includes three chapters:(1) Recent progress in the coupling reactions between aryl halides and amidines is described in Chapter1;(2) Synthesis of6-alkyl11bH-quinazolino[3,4-α] quinazolin-13(12H)-ones through copper-catalyzed arylation/cyclization of2-(2-bromophenyl)-dihydroquinazolinone derivatives with alkyl amidines in one-step was investigated in Chapter2;(3) In Chapter3, copper-catalyzed arylation of2-(2-bromophenyl)-dihydroquinazolinone derivatives with aryl amidines, followed by intramolecular cyclization with the release of ammonia to afford the desired product6-aryl11bH-quinazolino[3,4-α] quinazolin-13(12H)-ones.The second part inculds two chapters:(1) Transition metal-catalyzed dehalogenation of aryl halides is summarized;(2) Copper-catalyzed debromination of2-(2-bromophenyl)-dihydroquinazolinones was studied, which broadened the application scope of transition metal-catalyzed debromination reactions.
