In the production process of coal, coal dressing is an important part. Coal dressing can not only remove the coal waste, improve the utilization efficiency of coal, but also change the structure of the product and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. In the meantime, coal dressing is the foundation of the clean coal technology. It plays an important role in saving resources and protecting the environment.Movable-bed jig uses jig principle, separating coal waste from coal. Because of simple structure, easy maintenance, high separation efficiency, low operating costs, movable-bed jig is widely used in coal dressing industry. The movable-bed makes up and down reciprocating movement through the transmission mechanism of movable-bed jig, thus achieves the purpose of stratification of coal and coal waste. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the affection of transmission mechanism on separation efficiency.This paper based on the comprehensive understanding of the structural and working principle of the mechanical movable-bed jig, putting the transmission mechanism as a six-bar link. First use the analytical method for solving the rocker and movable-bed’s angular displacement, angular velocity, angular acceleration and move the sieve and quick return characteristics. Then use Matlab to make visualization of the result and get the movement curve of rocker and movable-bed jig. Next build the three-dimensional model by UG The model is analyzed about the affection of the four position of link on crank, the angle of rocker and the installation location of draw bar on the law of motion of movable-bed jig, which provides the basis of operation of the equipment when separates different particle size of coal.When movable-bed works, only crank makes uniform circular motion, the other bars’velocity is changing all the time. Therefore, the inertial force exists in the transmission mechanism of movable-bed jig, making machine vibratory periodically, increasing the dynamic stress of joints and having impact on stability. The movable-bed jig transmission mechanism is discussed by the method linearly independent mass-vectors, getting the conclusion that design equations when the inertia force of transmission mechanism is in a balance state. The common method of adding counterweight is used to reduce the inertial force. Comparing the inertial force of adding counterweight to the connect-place of crank, rocker and movable-bed with the connect-place of crank and rocker by ADAMS, considering the whole structure of movable-bed jig,adding counterweight to crank and rocker is more practical not only reducing inertial force,but also not affecting the overall structure of movable-bed jig.
