The molecularly imprinted monolithic columns, which combine the highstereoselectivity of moleculary imprinted polymers with the advantages of goodhydrodynamic characteristic, low lfow resistance as well as easy preparation ofmonolithic materials. It is applied on separation, enrichment and detection about thetrace concentrations of speciifc components in complex environment, with theadvantages of fast analysis speed, accuracy, high sensitivity as we as low cost, easy touse, high extraction efficiency,has the very good application prospect.In the ifrst part,the polymers were prepared by using in situ polymerization,withbenzoic acid as the template molecule,4-vinyl pyridine (4-VP) as functionalmonomer,ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as crosslinker,dodecanol andtoluene as porogen,azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. The benzoic acidmolecularly imprinted monolithic columns were prepared in the stainless steel needle,and the adsorpiton performance for BTEX was evaluated. The effects of polymersolution proportion, polymerization temperature, polymerization time on permeabilityand selectivity of the monolithic column has been studied, as well as the optimalproportion of template molecule, functional monomer and cross-linker.In the second part, needle type monolithic column were coupled with gaschromatography, to analyze trace volatile BTEX in the environment. The thermaldesorption temperature, volume of nitrogen, and adsorption time of the in-needleextraction device were studied, as well as the service life of device selectivity,reproducibility of the needles,reproducibility between each sample store three daysand a week after recovery. At the same time,the calibration curves and the limit ofdetection the device for BTEX were constructed,and successfully applied on gasstation, underground parking lot and the air inside decorate new lab building within the detection of BTEX.
