With the rapid development of China’s highway and continued growth of the automobile ownership, road traffic environment pollution problem has become increasingly prominent. As of the end of June2012, total ownership of the motor vehicle in the country reached233million,and still maintain an upward trend. So many car ownership makes automobile exhaust emissions of pollutants in the atmosphere increasing proportion. This shows that the effective prevention and treatment of automobile exhaust pollutants has become essential. This paper is in the western part of the context of the subject:the western region of asphalt pavement using TiO2control vehicle exhaust NOx technology research, in order to improve the air quality of the environment as the goal of highway transportation. Aiming at NOx in the automobile exhaust pollution, develop a load of nano TiO2photocatalytic coatings on the asphalt, relying on its photocatalytic effect degradation of harmful gases, in order to reduce air pollution, improve air quality, protect the ecological environment effect.Through the research on the mechanism of photocatalytic materials, using the hydrothermal method of ordinary TiO2modified, respectively Fe, Ti two kinds of metal and titanium doped.Application of mass spectrometry to four different types of catalyst, TiO2, P25and self-made titanium, titanium doped zinc photocatalytic degradation experiment.Selected the best catalyst degradation,it is doped in coatings through the dispersion process. The asphalt pavement performance requirements, anti-slide, wear resistance, freeze-thaw cycles and other various performance tests of the photocatalytic coating, and then verify the photocatalytic coating can be cured very good and permeability in asphalt pavement. Simulation studies finally indoor degradation experiment of photocatalytic coatings by testing prepared by naphthyl ethylenediamine dihydrochloride spectrophotometric method. Various conditions of the natural environment, the analysis of degradation effect under natural light and UV light photocatalytic coatings on nitrogen nutrient compounds, effect of nitrogen oxide degradation effect of eutrophication on different concentrations of nitrogen and different catalyst dosage, optimization of photocatalytic coatings formulation. Thus indirectly validated the effectiveness of nano TiO2photocatalytic coating actual asphalt road conditions on the degradation of pollutants in vehicle exhaust. Objective is to improve the air quality and ecological environment protection.
