As a natural production, the climate of producing area and the condition of soil decide the quality and type of wine. It has been a hot area of research to identify the wine from different area and variety with the development of wine production. The components containing mineral elements, protein, amino acid, polyphenol and aroma components are very rich, which are influenced by producing area, variety, brewing technique and the storage conditions of wine, which makes the diversity of quality and type of wine. So it is possible to identify the wine from different area and variety by detecting the kinds and contents of these components. As the materials of wine, grape juice, grape skin, grape seeds, grape stems produced in Ning Xia province, the composition, content and correlation of different wine for the mineral elements was researched by emission spectrum with the data was conducted by correlation analysis and cluster analysis. That revealed the effect of region and variety on grape and wine and established the foundation for the identification of wine and geographical origin traceability.The results are as below:1.The elements of K、Na、Mg and Ca are the main elements in all samples and the content of mineral elements in soil, water, grape seeds, grape skin and grape stem is higher than grape juice and wine. The elements of K、Na、P and Ni could act as the differentiate elements for the variety of wine in Ning Xia area. The elements of Na、Mg、Ca、B and Li have shown the difference of wine in the producing area in Ning Xia province.2.The correlation analysis of the mineral elements from wine and grape juice, grape skin, grape seeds, grape stems show there is significant correlation between wine and grape juice because grape juice is the main raw material of wine. The correlation of the mineral elements from wine, grape skin, grape seeds and grape stems has something with the variety of wine and all has the positive correlation with the grape skin.3.For the mineral elements in soil are affected by fertilizing and watering, and the mineral elements in soil influence the contents and variety of mineral elements in wine, the soil conditions and fertilizing can make difference in variety and contents of mineral elements in wine. Different grape has different need for minerals. All of above make mineral elements in wine have feature of producing area and variety.4.The cluster analysis of mineral elements in wine shows that it is approach in contents of mineral elements in the same variety of wine and the mineral contents in different variety of wine have a little correlation but also have variety difference, especially in Chardonnay wine. There is lager difference in variety of wine than producing area in Ning Xia region which maybe have something with the local climate and soil conditions.
