So far,the mechanism of Hydroxyl radicals (OH) sterilization anddegradation of environmental pollutants has not been clear.In this paper, usingE.coli and chlorpyrifos, propiconazole, pesticides, carbamate as the object of study,emphatically studied on mechanism of OH sterilization and degradation ofenvironmental pollutants,The main contents include: OH generation mechanism;optimization of OH sterilization conditions; OH processing cell morphology, cellmembrane changes; enzyme changes; OH processing of genetic material; studyof OH sterilization efficiency; explore new method of detection of the substrate of OH degradate pesticide residues; OH degradate the pesticide residues conditionsoptimization; OH attack common pesticide residues and carbamate functionalgroup exploration; OH concentration of the pesticide removal efficiency. And toexplore the process of OH, the indicators change with cell death and degradationof organic matter relations。The main results and conclusions were summarized asfollows:(1) OH generator designed to take full account of the conditions of the reactor, theelectrolyte nature, external energy input, they can impact on OH differently.(2) Use of the optimum sterilization process conditions, parameter optimizationof OH kill E. coli conditions, taking into account the actual operating convenienceand cost, using the sterilization current strength71.08A, sterilization time22.22min, inoculums size15.21ml/500g.3parallel experiments the actual averagesterilization rate of94.79%, the actual value and the theoretical best sterilizationrate of0.60%relative error.(3) OH for the destruction of the genetic material phosphodiester bond betweenthe chain reaction of DNA by the base, which DNA replication of cells and geneticmaterial of a series of metabolic and regulatory mechanisms were also damaged.(4) High performance liquid chromatography-UV detection method for thedetermination of pesticide residues in treated OH, analyzes not only fast, but theaccuracy and sensitivity are high, and has a certain practicality. Detected by the hydroxyl radical thorough treatment of the clearance rate of up to about70%,indicating the type of food purification machine organics of environmentalpollution, especially kind degradation of pesticide residues.(5) Hydroxyl radicals change the electron cloud density of benzene ring and thefunctional groups, uneven distribution, reduce the bonding force between groups,the density of the organic structure will be destroyed, open a gap, the hydroxyl freeradicals can continue enter into the heart of the organic structure, continue to breakdown functional groups like nitro benzene and benzene ring connection sulfonicgroup, or ions like sulfur chloride ions. At the same time, the hydroxyl radicalstrong capability of hydrogen absorption, lead to dense structure oxidation itself.
