With the rapid development of information industry, food processing enterprisesneed not only to strengthen the regulation and management of production and improvethe processing efficiency of the production line, but also to track the processing of eachbatch of products from the perspective of quality control, understand the ratio of rawmaterials processing and the date of when it’s entering the warehouse and provide towhich customers, shipping dates and other information. From a management point ofview, we need to analyze a single cycle of the processed products, the finished report, defect reporting, defect analysis in order to improve the level of production andmanagement. From the point of view of market demand, they need to know inventoryand shipping information in order to facilitate the production capacity to adjust to thebest-selling products. MES is an information management system, which combinestightly enterprise planning system and production equipment. It provides plenty ofinformation to enterprise managers, such as the implementation of plans and all kindsof real-time status of resources. MES can form a complete real-time data exchangesystem, where the planning and the underlying control system are closely integrated. Itwill gradually become the trend to improve business management skills, which is ofgreat significance to improve enterprise management. The scheduling algorithm is a risk point and technical difficulty of the MESdesign. In the architecture of MES, the detailed process scheduling algorithm willdirectly affect the MES performance. Traditional job shop scheduling algorithmrunning time is too long, in addition to the shortcomings of its complexity. Oncontrary, in this paper we studied the genetic algorithm, made improvements on thebasis of the traditional genetic algorithm, and adjusted for the actual situation of thecorporate grain storage and processing workshop, formation of the whole newproduction scheduling. The grains processing plants at the “Heze Food&GrainsGroup” were studied as the background. After analyzing the needs, the use of newscheduling algorithms model and the design of the MES, the system is already in use.In this company, the processing plant has achieved the whole process of automated operations from the initial raw materials to final products and packaging. Theutilization of MES improves the management level at the same time greatly reduce thelabor costs. Through production practices, it proves that this scheduling approach caneffectively adjust and shorten the construction period, with a high practical value in thescenario of complex scheduling.
