As one kind of the main energies in our country, the coal play an irreplaceable role in our nation’s economy and people’s life. China,as a big power exploiting coal, is second to none in both quantity and size. In all the severe safety production accidents, coalmine accidents account for a big proportion, while in which gas disasters as well as the second disasters occupy the highest percentage. As a result, it’s much important to study gas disaster prevention mechanism. In coal mining sites, gas disaster is performed as gas emission and coal and gas outburst. The site of gas emission is called gas source, of which the quantity and outburst intension directly depend the volume of gas accumulation in the process of fully-mechanized coal mining. As a result, it’s necessary to pave the way of production and management by measuring the amount of gas emission in advance. Hence, gas emission which relates with workers’lives is so severe that it must be recognized in advance. This paper studied the gas storage and transport rule, and predicted the gas emission of the fully mechanized working face of mine and set up the model of gas emission prediction by taking advantage of the separated source method suggested by Fushun Science Research Institution of Coal. In this paper, there are four different gas sources:rib, fallen coal, legacy coal mined-out area and adjacent layer. The four sources have been combined with field data and the rule of gas emission intensity to separately establish mathematical model of intensity which changes over time and the model of cumulative gas emission which is featured by intuition and strong adaptability. What’s more, the models have been used to calculate the gas discharge in Sijiazhuang mining area, Yangquan Colliery Bloc. Although it has been found that the models are not perfect, they have certain practical value and there is a big room for improvement. With regard to transport and distribution of gas in gob, simulation has been done with analog simulation experimental facilities of Taiyuan University of Technology in this paper. It is known that prominent accidents in mine are characterized by sudden and great destruction. In this paper, the main risk of coal seam9、11、12、13、14in Sijiazhuang mine area has been forecasted by aggregative indicator method including the gas pressure in coal seam (P), the index of initial speed of gas diffusion(P), the coefficient of coal sturdiness(F), as well as the type of coal destruction.
