The Research On Pre-finishing Vertical Mill Appears Vibration In A Production’s Condition

ABSTRACT: With The core equipment of producing steel is the mill, thus the mill’soperating state will affect the quality of the steel’s production directly, however thedecline of steel production quality mainly due to the mill’s abnormal vibration. If the millhas a abnormal vibration, it will not only affect the mill’s production quality, but also wearthe devices affecting the production capacity. So it has an important practical significanceto research the cause of the mill’s abnormal vibration. This paper takes a vertical mill of awire factory’s pre-finishing mills for example to study and analyze its larger vibration.The paper introduces the research status of the mill’s vibration and some commonanalysis methods of the mill’s vibration at first, meanwhile shows the production of a wirefactory’s pre-finishing mills and the main structure of the vertical mill. Then we useSolidworks software to establish the three-dimensional model of the mill’s main parts,import them to Ansys software and set the appropriate parameters, make a modal analysisabout them, obtain their related mode shapes and natural frequencies, these could providea theoretical basis for the analysis of the mill’s larger vibration. Finally, in the field wecollect the signal of the mill’s vibration at different speeds with Nicolet data acquisition,put the data into the computer with the Vision software, take two sets data of the differentspeed for example, make a wavelet transform and spectral analysis with Matlab software,take the conclusion in contrast with the modal analysis result, research the vibrationreasons.
