In the production of continuous casting crystallizer as the most important link, itsmain role is to rapidly and evenly to crystallizer in molten steel for cooling, speed up thesteel setting rate, make the billet shell uniform growth. Its structure parameters are toachieve optimal value. Not only directly affects the mould molten steel temperaturetransfer state and liquid steel flow state, and then affects the quality of the billet, but alsoon the high speed production rhythm has important influence. Improve throwing speedmethod has a lot of, have a lower degree of superheat of molten steel, so that the mouldoscillation curve more optimization, reduce the mould molten steel temperaturefluctuations, optimizing the structure of the crystallizer lumen,(make crystallizer is moreadvantageous to the cooling). Here the main research high efficiency continuous castingmachine of the key machines in the optimization design of crystallizer. Crystallizeroptimization including inner chamber shape and design parameters,Using software Ansys CFX1.0and Icem CFX, to crystallizer section for200mmx200mm, crystallizer length respectively for800mm,850mm,900mm inner cavity ofthe molten steel temperature field and flow field numerical simulation. At the same timethrough CFX simulation can be calculated under different parameters of the crystallizercrystallizer export position the thickness of the solidified shell. Through the empiricalformula to calculate the length in different crystallizer under need the thickness of thesolidified shell. Comparing to analog of billet shell thickness and need of solidified shellthickness size, when simulation of solidified shell thickness is greater than the need thethickness of the solidified shell, we think this time crystallizer parameters meet basicallythe throwing conditions, and then again to meet the requirements of the variousparameters of the crystallizer for flow field and temperature field analysis, find out theflow field distribution and temperature field distribution can improve the quality ofcasting mould parameters.
