It is complicated of the quality of the pharmaceutical wastewaterwhich is characterized as high concentration of COD and ammoniacal nitrogen, hightoxicity for biotic systems, biorecalcitrant. There are many problems in traditionaltreatment such as operation cost is high, COD and ammonia nitrogen can’t reach thestandards. So it is necessary to develop a new treatment process for the pharmaceuticalwastewater which is reasonable economic and technology feasible. In this paper,“SH-Abiological process+method of coagulation”was concerned to solve the problems.First of all, the start-up of the aerobic and anaerobic bioreactor of the SH-A processwere completed according to the characteristics of the microbial.And then a lot ofacademic research of about influence factors were did in the process of domesticatingmicroorganism.And finally got the best process control parameter. The optimal conditionsas following.In the first reactor of the SH-A process, pH value about from8.0to8.5,hydraulic residence time is about from36h to40h. In the second reactor of the SH-Aprocess, pH value about from7.5to8.0, hydraulic residence time is24h. In the thirdreactor of the SH-A process, pH value about from7.5to8.0, hydraulic residence time is24h.The best temperature of the biochemical system is35℃. The optimal conditions ofcoagulation system is that which is under normal temperature.The best drug dosage ofcoagulating agent of PFS is165mg/L.The best drug dosage of ccoagulant aids of PAM is22mg/L.And the best pH is8. During the process of physical mixing and the beginning ofcoagulating process of colloid becomes unstable,the best stirring intensity is200r/min andthe mixing time is2minutes. When COD in waste water from the water inlet is from3500mg/L to4000mg/L, ammoniacal nitrogen is about100mg/L. In water outlet, CODdropped to below280mg/L and ammoniacal nitrogen is under7mg/Lafter treated. Theammoniacal nitrogen removal rate is from93.8%to100.0%.And the COD removal rate isabout94.0%. The water quality indicators from the water outlet will below the maximumacceptable emission concentration of urban wastewater treatment plant of IntegratedWastewater Discharge Standard of Liaonong(DB21/1627-2008).
