With the trend of digital, networking, high efficiency and automation in the current printing, printing machinery manufacturing technology continues to improve, coupled with the application of computer technology, network technology, photoelectric control technology, makes the print quality, printing speed, press automation level and production efficiency greatly improve. The traditional detection method of print quality can not meet the requirement of high quality, high efficiency and low cost. The development of advanced print quality detection system becomes the general trend. In this paper, the print quality detection system based on whole page to achieve image acquisition, image processing, quality detection and ink detection. Based on previous studies, this paper focus on the ink detection method and coloration affect.Analysising the method of traditional ink detection, this paper proposes the new ink detection method-ink identification method. Ink identification method based on digital image processing technology, the images scannd by CCD do partition, pixel identification, and then compare with the data in the feature database. If the differences within a certain range, the ink size is the ink area ink size.OpenCV is the Intel (?) Open Source Computer Vision Library, which consists of a series of C functions and C++class structure, with more than300high-level and cross-platform API which is consisted by C functions, implements many common algorithm of aspects of image processing and computer vision. And for the Intel(?) Integrated Performance Primitives (IPP) provides the transparent interface. But it does not depend on other external libraries-although you can use some external libraries.Based on the development platform of Visual C++, use OpenCV for image processing, the ink identification method from the theoretical analysis is written as computer program, and place ink detection module in the quality detection system based on whole page, complete the quality detection system based on whole page.This paper, using the print quality detection system, does a large number of experiments, and comprehensive analysis the experimental phenomena and data. Through these phenomena and data, we can conclude that ink detection method based on OpenCV digital image processing technology has good real-time detection and accuracy.
