Ferrate(VI) salt is a new kind of multifunctional and efficient water purification agents with green friendly environmental influence. When the advanced oxidation technology is currently used in Phenol wastewater treatment as a general method, ferrate as a green oxidant shows the certain research value on application for Phenol wastewater treatment. In this paper, currently existing synthesis technique for producing potassium ferrate (K2FeO4) is generalized and summarized. K2FeO4synthesized by hypochlorite method was used in the simulated Phenol wastewater treatment, and influential factors including dosing quantity, pH, Phenol initial concentration and inorganic salt concentration in the treatment process were studied. Mainly as follows:(1) An experiment on K2FeO4quantitative analysis by chromite titration method was made. In this process, the dissolution mode of K2FeO4;(2)A series of experiments dealing with Phenol wastewater treatments by K2FeO4were designed to study on influence factors in this processes, such as K2FeO4dosing quantity, pH, Phenol initial concentration and inorganic salt concentration etc.(3)At pH=9, the amount of potassium ferrate as the molar ratio of2:1(of K2FeO4/m-cresol), the water temperature to20℃, stirring time30min under the conditions of magnesium sulfate to join, contribute to inter-A degradation of phenol, when magnesium sulfate dosing concentrations of1.25g/L,potassium ferrate cresol removal rate can be increased by about20%.Based on potassium ferrate oxidation degradation of the water, the middle of the reaction of p-cresol, the establishment of the potassium ferrate oxidation degradation water middle cresol dynamics model, the total reaction series n=α+β=1.02, activation energy, Ea=7.345k J/mol, frequency factor k0=k0=0.2959(mol/m3)-1.0402×S-1.
