Rare earth elements are widely used in metallurgy, ceramics, petrochemical inthe traditional fields and permanent magnet materials, superconducting materials,special glass in high technologies fields. they had become an indispensable andimportant raw materials in some related industrial. Relative to the other resources,rare earth adsorption of the largest amount of capital, therefore, it has became thefocus problem which drawn the attention of the world.For the solvent extraction has high separation efficiency, easy operation, largescale and continuous etc, so in the industry of rare earth of our country, this methodhas been widely used to rare earth separation. While the product of extraction andseparation of rare earth from feeding to equilibrium state whole process iscomplicated and the reaction time is long, if the experimental study entirely dependon production field certainly will spend a lot of time. With the improvement ofscience and technology level, computer simulation was used in every walk of life, inthe extractive and separate process of rare earth, we use this advanced method toextract the rare earth elements, this method will be save the human, material andenergy and at the same time, it also can accelerate the research and development cycleof the extractive and separate process of rare earth.This paper is in the support of the national natural science fund "based onmachine vision of the rare earth extraction process monitoring and control me thod ",for the purpose to improve the quality of the rare earth products, and In order todescribe the extractive and separate of the rare earth comprehensively and visually, weapply the Siemens PCS7process control system to simulate the extractive process ofrare earth dynamic. The main research work of this article is as follows:1、After descript the mechanism and technology of the extractive and separateprocess of rare earth briefly, we use the Siemens PCS7established the processsimulation test platform, apply the WinCC configuration software to build theman-machine interface and monitoring picture of the process;2、According to the parameters of process, determine the series and various feedsetting flow of the extractive process of rare earth. Under the guidance of the theoryof the cascade extraction, we simulate the extractive process of rare earth from start tobalance dynamic;3、 we calculate the component content at all levels by using two phasecomposition step recursion formula and display the component content distribution ofall levels in WinCC interface; According to the gradient maximum value of component content change to determine the optimal monitoring control level in theextractive process, during the control process of the extractive of rare earth adjustwith the experience of expert dynamic, to make the products of both ends export meetthe purity finally.4、And we simulate with the extractive process of Pr/Nd dynamic as an example,verify the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper and the actual extractiontechnology research reference.
