Oxygen converter process is one of the most important steelmaking methods now,and converter steel accounts for more than70%of the total steel production in the world.Control technology for converter process has been developed from completely manualcontrol to computer model static control, to dynamic control, to and then full-automaticcontrol.In recent years,because of rise of cost for raw material and excess steelproduction capacity,Chinese steel industry is faced with more and more strongercompetition. In order to promote the competitiveness of enterprises, the introduction ofadvanced steelmaking technology becomes more and more urgent.Automatic steelmaking is one of the advanced technologies for converter controlused by computer and PLC. It concentrates theoretical calculation, expert experienceand advanced On-line detection methods. By using this technology, the hit ratio ofconverter end-point can be observably increased, and smelting cycle can be shortened,production efficiency can be improved, and the cost for raw materials andmanufacturing process can be cut down, and all of these can make remarkable economicbenefits can be achieved.In this thesis, the210-ton combined blown converter of Xinsteel (Xinyu Iron&Steel Group Co., LTD) was investigated. Based on research of converter metallurgical mechanism,artificial neural network and sublance technology, an intelligent staticmodel based on T-S fuzzy neural network and a dynamic model based on measuringdata of sublance were established.With the use of computer control, one key automatic steelmaking control comestrue. According to the practical production situation, such innovations were made:calculating and verification in sections, automatic matching of blowing patterns andprocess routes. Finally, the sublance automatic steel-making technology for210-toncombined blown converter is put into use and good application effects is obtained inXinsteel.
