The main content of this paper is the numerical method research and experimentalresearch for vibration characteristics of composite laminated structure. Compositelaminated structure has some obvious advantages in material and structure. Furthermore,this structure has excellent properties of damping noise, so the composite laminatedstructure has been widely used in the ship field. As a recognized and widely usednumerical calculation method, the finite element method(FEM) have problem such asoverly stiff, limited precision, poor stability and lower computation efficiency and so on.Smoothing finite element method(S-FEM) has overcome these problems well. Vibrationtest of composite plate usually excites the samples first, and then through the measurementof vibration signal analysis to determine the natural frequencies and modal vibration modeof the samples, so as to study the vibration characteristics of the structure. The maincontent of this paper is as follows:Firstly, the paper reviews the basis of the finite element analysis, introduces the planeproblem of mechanical foundation and finite element analysis process of the plane problem,and then introduces the mechanical foundation and finite element analysis of compositelaminated plate. On the basis of FEM, the paper introduces the principle of S-FEM and maincontent, and then introduces the construction of smoothing strain field in the problem domain,what is basis of the vibration analysis for the composite laminated plate using S-FEM.Then the vibration and stability of the beams and plates are analyzed using theS-FEM by some numerical examples and the results are compared with the FEM to verifythe convergence and accuracy of S-FEM; Then the paper analyzes the vibrationcharacteristics of composite laminated plate and discusses the influence of materialparameters such layer, lamination angle, aspect ratio, etc.Finally, experiment study of the vibration characteristics for the steel plate and Glassfiber reinforced plastic plate was carried. Based on the test result, we can evaluate thedifference of the vibration characteristics between the two kind of plates.
