Super-heavy CNC machine tools are the key equipment of heavy equipmentmanufacturing industry(such as fire, water, nuclear power plant equipment manufacturing, ship-building, metallurgy, mining), and are also the sign of the national importantindustrial basement. Although the heavy machine tool industries in our country makegreat progress in recent years and constantly breakthrough specification limits onheavy machine tool, the components manufacturing accuracy and high precisionstability, reliability need great improvement. Therefore, the accurate dynamicmodeling and the dynamic characteristics analysis of the heavy machine tools are vital. Therefore, this paper studied the dynamic modeling and the dynamic characteristicsanalysis of the CKX53280super-heavy milling lathe.Firstly, the finite element model of CKX53280super-heavy milling machine wasestablished, and the equivalences of characteristics of machine tool`s joints wasstudied. The vibration modals of two kinds of models with rigid connecting joints andflexible connecting joints were calculated respectively, and the results were comparedto study the effect that the characteristics of joints have on the modal of the machinetool.Secondly, the theory of the modal testing was illustrated and the modalparameters of the machine tool were obtained by using the hammer-hitting method. The result of the modal testing was analyzed and verified. The results were comparedwith the finite element analysis results, which shows that the dynamic modeling withflexible connecting joints is true. Also the results provide a theoretical basis for thesubsequent dynamic analysis and dynamic optimization design.Based on the experience in heavy machine experimental modal analysis, thispaper proposed in view of the super-heavy machine using partitions incentivescombined with random hammering method to improve SNR.
