In order to meet the demand for on-site repair requirements of large parts,the research group designed a Clip type machine tool for adding or subtracting materials with series-parallel hybrid structure.Based on the consideration of actual processing,it is necessary to provide reasonable process parameters for machine work to improve the precision and machining surface quality.The dynamic performance of machine tool and the occurrence of chatter are important factors affecting the machining stability,which affect the efficiency and precision.For the machine tool with special topological structure in this paper,it is of great significance for monitoring and controlling the chatter stability to study whether the stability has the same influence in different working positions.In this paper,whether the dynamic performance and chatter characteristics of Clip type machine tool are consistent within the workspace range,that is,at different positions,is studied.To explore the influential factors of chatter occurrence,deeply study the Altintas chatter stability theory and output stability lobes diagram based on this theory under the condition of the input mode and the process parameters,single factor control variable method is used to analyse the inherent system modal parameters and cutting process parameters effect on the stability lobes diagram area.To explore the Clip type machine tool in different work positions whether the dynamic characteristics and flutter characteristics of the experiment and theory are consistent,respectively using the finite element analysis and modal testing experimental method.In the finite element analysis process,to get the natural frequency and modal vibration type based on the modal analysis module of ANSYS Workbench,to get the frequency response function curve based on the harmonic response analysis module of ANSYS Workbench;In modal test experiment,through the key position of machine tool blade vibration,using dynamic signal test software can get the inherent frequency and transfer function,then the frequency response function curve is further obtained.The frequency response function curve obtained from theory and experiment can extract the frequency response peaks,then identify modal parameters,finally map the stability lobes diagram combining with Altintas chatter stability theory under the machine tool of the different position,the consistency of the stability lobes was analyzed;At the same time,the obtaining stability lobes combining the two approaches that are theory and experiment,their differences were analyzed.
