Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is not only the product of the reactions catalyzedby a large number of highly selective oxidases but also an essential mediator infood, pharmaceutical, and environmental analysis. Its determination plays animportant role in chemical, biological, clinical, and many other fields. Manytechniques, such as titrimetry, spectrometry, and electrochemistry, have beendeveloped for this purpose.Graphene is a kind of new materials with two dimensions and one atom thick.Owing to the sp2hybrids of the carbon atoms, graphene shows as a planarstructure. Graphene has an excellent conductivity and large surface to volume area,since its first coming to the world in2004, graphene has been widely used in allkinds of research areas. Especially in the area of novel sensors, graphene basedcomposite materials are having a widely research prospect now.Noble metal nanoclusters are a kind of artificial moleculars which haveuniform diameters between1nm to10nm and form as a result of aggregation ofseveral or several tens of atoms. The properties of noble metal nanoclusters arequite different from single noble metal atom or noble metal nanoparticles withrelative larger size. Owing to the several or hundred atoms, quantum effects play aleading role in noble metal nanoclusters. Comparing with the metal nanoparticles,the noble metal nanoclusters show excellent physical and chemical properties.With their unique properties, the noble metal nanoclusters have alreadydemonstrated broad applications in nano-electronics, nano-biology and catalysisprospects, and more and more research attentions have been paid on the noblemetal nanoclusters in recent years.In this paper, we firstly synthetize the Au nanoparticles graphene hybrids,then the Au nanoparticles graphene hybrids are modified onto the glass carbonelectrode to study its electocatalytic performance on hydrogen peroxide. Theresults show that Au nanoparticles graphene hybrids have a quite goodelectrochemical properties which can effectively reduce the cathodicsuperpotential of hydrogen peroxide.Noble metal nanoparticles graphene hybrids with the particles’ homogeneityand uniform distribution onto the graphene carpet with an excellent performanceneed to be further explored and this paper can be an effective reference to designnoble metal nanoparticle graphene hybrids and their application in the area of theelectrochemical biosensors...
