For Chinese medicine pharmaceutical industry, because the drug productionprocess different drug varieties and production process is different, the produced waterand wastewater quality has very big difference, but mainly for high concentrationorganic wastewater pollution. The characteristics of wastewater is complicatedcomposition, organic matter content is high, toxicity, deep chromaticity and high saltcontent, especially can biochemical sex is very poor, and simple emissions, is difficultto deal with industrial waste water, along with the development of China’spharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical wastewater has become one of the importantsources of pollution, how to deal with this kind of wastewater is one of today’senvironmental protection problem.We propose a method to dispose the wastewater from a pharmaceutical factory inXi’an. With orthogonal design of experiment, we investigate the best conditions of theFenton’s treatment system, which affect the rates of removal of chroma and degradationof organics, such as the doses of H2O2, FeSO4·7H2O and pH, reaction temperature andreaction time. The experimental results show:(1) For the treatment of Fenton’s treatment system, more than73.4%CODCrof thepharmaceutical wastewater is removed under the best condition that pH is4,quantity ofFeSO4·7H2O is400mg/L,dose of30%H2O2is1.5ml/L, the reaction time is40min.(2) For the treatment of Fenton+UV treatment system, more than77.3%CODCrofthe pharmaceutical wastewater is removed under the best condition that pH is4,quantityof FeSO4·7H2O is400mg/L,dose of30%H2O2is1.5ml/L and the reaction time is3h. (3) For the treatment of cogulative precipitation’s treatment system removedpharmaceutical wastewater is under the best condition that pH is4,quantity of PAC is100mg/L, quantity of PAM is5mg/L.(4) To consider the CODCrremoval rate, the decoloration rate and the economicalfactors together, we got the best condition of the Fenton System to deal with thepharmaceutical wastewater: pH is4,quantity of FeSO4·7H2O is400mg/L,dose of30%H2O2is1.5ml/L, quantity of PAC is100mg/L, quantity of PAM is5mg/L. Under theconditions the CODCrremoval rate exceeds87.7%and the decoloratio rate exceeds92.6%.
