Traditional electrochemical workstation generally are based on Single ChipMicro-computer as the processor to control the A/D andD/Aconverterused to read analoginput signals and to produce analogoutput signals. It is easy for the Single ChipMicrocomputer to finish all system through programming.But electrochemical measuringasks for greater speed and accuracy of the electrochemical workstation.Lower clockfrequency and peripheral port rate of the micro controller greatly limits the speed andperformance of the system. The system using ARM and FPGA has high frequency, shortinternal delay, large internal storage capacity, which is better for the design of theelectrochemical workstation.The thesis simply introduced the basics of the electrochemical measurement.Thisthesis introduces a set of general design scheme of the electrochemical workstation, whichbased on high-speed and high-precision analog-digital design.Finally,the principledexperiment and verification work for the selected program has been finished.The wholescheme contains the digital unit of ARM and FPGA, two-channel high speed dataacquisition uint(including the DDS waveform signal generator and the DMA dual channelsynchronous high speed data acquisition module),isolation protection of communicationuint(including the USB interfaces and the network interfaces).In hardware,ARM and FPGA finished the digital unit of electrochemical workstation.The computer is an upper machine, which is responsible for the human-computer interface,configuration of electrochemical methods,analysis and calculation the data and display thegraphice in real time. Electrochemical workstation is a lower computer, which transmitsdata through the USB port with upper computer software. In the digital unit ofelectrochemical workstation,ARM,as the main control chip,received and analyzed the orderfrom the upper computer, as well as upload the selected data. The FPGA connected thehigh-speed A/D and D/A converter to make DDS wave and collect data. In software, Iwrote the program of ARM,FPGA and Verilog HDL.High-performance electrochemical workstation is tested for performance by cyclicvoltammetry and alternating current impedance spectroscopy. Test results show the system meets the designed performance index: sampling rate is1million samples persecond,maximum resolution of voltage is to reach10uV;The signal generator can createthe sine wave signals,which frequent is reaching from10Hzto1MHz;High precision ofoutput frequency is reach to0.1%.
