Ramie is a rich natural fiber, which has no pollution to the environment.Ramie fibercomposite material widely used in energy, construction, automobile manufacturing, etc.The forming composites used the traditional glass fiber, thermosetting resins appear largeenergy consumption, serious pollution shortcomings and so on. However, thethermoplastic resin can be repeated processing and utilization, and less pollution to theenvironment. The study found that composite materials made by ramie and thermosettingresin which is mixed with mineral filler, have the characteristics of small density, smallcontractibility rate, good dielectric properties and heat-conducting properties,environmental protection raw material, low cost and easy processing,etc. These arenecessary to the electronic packaging materials.In this paper, through understanding ramie fiber and thermoplastic resin, testing andanalysis the property of raw ramie and ramie fabric by infrared spectrum, ultravioletspectrum, DSC, TG, XRD and so on, using chemical co-precipitation method to preparethe nanoparticles of stannic hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide and to adopt the specificsurface area meter, XRD, TEM on the performance testing analysis, designing processingmould and the optimization of preparation procedure, preparing the ramie fabric/polyethylene composite material test sample by compression moulding method. Testingdielectric properties, thermal properties, mechanical properties, microstructure and flameretardant properties of the composite material test sample by digital electric bridge, DSC,universal testing machine, SEM and so on, and analysing its properties. The mainconclusions are as follows:1、The best technological parameter of composite material preparation are: precuringtemperature is80℃, molding pressure is4MPa, pressure maintaining30min in thetemperature of110℃, then slowly cooling along with the mould, move to drying ovenwhen the temperature dropped to90℃, annealing2h in the temperature of105℃andcontinue to curing and removing stress, natural cooling to the room temperature;2、The dielectric properties of the water-treatment ramie fabric/polyethylene andalkali-treatment ramie fabric/polyethylene composite materials are best when the contentof nano-aluminium hydroxide is30%, and the same as the coupling agent-treatment ramiefabric/polyethylene when the content of nano-stannic hydroxide is25%; 3、When the nano-aluminium hydroxide content is15%,the maximum tensilestrength of water-treatment ramie fabric/polyethylene composite materials is24.88MPa,When the nano-aluminium hydroxide content is10%,the maximum tensile strength ofalkali-treatment ramie fabric/polyethylene composite materials is25.06MPa, When thenano-aluminium hydroxide content is10%,the maximum tensile strength of couplingagent-treatment ramie fabric/polyethylene composite materials is25.97MPa;4、The flame retardant properties of ramie fabric/polyethylene composite materialsimprove basically with the increase of nanoparticles stannic hydroxide or aluminiumhydroxide content, and the flame retardant properties which mixed with nano-aluminiumhydroxide is better than with nano-stannic hydroxide when adding the same content ofpowder.
