At present, the domestic and foreign woolen mill mainly use the way of sizing wool single yarn to improve wool single yarns weavability, so as to develop its high value-added and develop the light thin high-grade worsted fabric having good economic benefits and social benefits, in order to meet the people requirements of the summer fashion. Due to the unique physical and chemical properties of the wool fibers, it determines the particularity of the yarn sizing and the particularity of the sizing agent requirements. Aims to develop special size which is suitable for wool yarn sizing.China is a great nation of silk production, the application of silk is mainly in fibroin, but sericin (account for the amount of20%~30%silk) is discharged as wastewater, that results environmental pollution and waste of resources. According to "similarity and intermiscibility" principle, this study selects sericin wool which is the sericin protein as sizing agent, to improve the pure sericin itself shortage, this study choose gelatin, polyacrylic acrylate paste, polyacrylamide, dimethyl silicone oil and penetrant agent JFC to compound with sericin, to develope the sericin compound sizing agent for wool yarn sizing, and realize the reasonable use of resources to avoid the waste of resources.This study firstly tests the sericin and it compound with the gelatin, polyacrylic acrylate paste, polyacrylamide serous membrane performance. Then it in turn employs each slurry monomer to mix with sericin, to observe the breaking strength and the breaking elongation of compound sizing agent serosa, and contrast with target PVA starch blend pulp and sizing, preliminary determine the ratio range of composition in sericin compounds:the ratio range of gelatin is between30%~60%; the ratio range of polyacrylic acrylate paste is between20%~30%; the ratio range of polyacrylamide is between4%~6%; the ratio range of dimethyl silicone oil is between2%~4%. After that it studys the change of the adhesion force and viscosity of the sericin compound size in different siruping temperature,different siruping time and slurry pH condition, At last it determines the best cook pulp slurry process of the sericin compound that is the boiled pulp temperature is70℃, the cooking time is1h, the cooking slurry pH is7.Using the mixed level uniform design method designs the main size pulp mixture ratio optimization experiment scheme of sericin compound, testing the adhesion force is to choose the best three main size scheme and test their serosity, plasma membrane performance; Using orthogonal design method designs the auxiliary agent mixture ratio optimization experiment scheme of sericin compound then tests the breaking strength and the breaking elongation and sizing agent adhesion force, plasma membrane, based on these three indicators visual analysis, it finally reaches the slurry optimal formula of the sericin compound:master sizing agent in sericin is40%, gelatin is35%, polyacrylic acrylate paste is25%; addition agent of polyacrylamide is6%, dimethyl silicone oil is4%, penetrating agent JFC is0.25%.It respectively uses the sericin compound and two contrast size (PVA-starch mixed pulp and acrylic class mixed pulp) for sizing on the pure wool single yarn. Then through the electron microscopic observation about the serosa covered effect of the yarn longitudinal surface morphology (sizing surface). And using the system comprehensive evaluation method to have a comprehensive evaluation for various physical and mechanical performance of three kinds of size yarn of tests, finally reaches the conciusion that sericin compound can be developed as yarn sizing agent.
