Pentahedral gantry machining center is a kind of gantry machining center that workpiece clampedonce could be processed completed, always equipped with only one working head,which can bereplaced a vertical、horizontal or others,and it can realize high-speed, heavy cutting. Its mainprocessings are large parts、complex-shaped surfaces and the molds. In order to achieve the design oftechnical indicators in the pentahedral gantry machining cente,It is extremely important to select anddesign of key components. Based on consulting a large number of domestic and foreign literatures, inline with the principles of advanced technology and economic rationality, the selection of keycomponents of the BZ-GL3022Z pentahedral gantry machining center in CNC system、spindleassemblies and automatic tool changing system have be completed, and debugged CNC machine tools,and summed up the main points of the key components’ selection, general rules and the debuggingmethods of CNC machine tools, and expounded the process of automatic tool changing system in detail.Firstly, In this article,the significance of the pentahedral gantry machining center’s background isproposed, in the social background of the rapid development of the advanced manufacturing industry,Hebei Province should develop their own machine tool enterprises to increase production levels andenhance competitiveness. Secondly according to the comparison of typical machine centre’smain technical parameters at home and abroad, reflecting that there is a certain gap about the level oftool machining accuracy、efficiencybetween domestic machinewith and foreign in the current.Thirdly, discussed the judgment of the performance of the machine tool merits,the selection of the CNCsystem、spindle assembly、Automatic Tool Changer and the debugging of CNC system, to make itsperformance indicators optimized. BZ-GL3022Z is positioned as a high-end large scale cutting of gantry machining center. The positioning of BZ-GL3022Z for high-end large-scalere-cutting gantry machining center, its main processing objects are multiaxial boxes、rails、molds andother large parts,the material of machine bed, columns, beams, saddle, spindle box is resin sandmolding with high-strength cast iron as well as reasonable fabric reinforcement structure, goodrigidity、stability. The choice of the spindle head is established、lying spindle head(five-sided head),spindle taper is ISO50.Chain magazine equipped with a established、lying tool change uses robot withhydraulic drived, the capacity of magazine is60. Numerical control system adopt SINUMERIK828D,Its system performance is between SINUMERIK802D and SINUMERIK840D. After assembled anddebugged, the pentahedral gantry machining center BZ-GL3022Z can reach the design requirements oftechnical parameters.
